Transport Options
Reaching the Sahara has never been easier, with convenient travel options from Marrakech, Casablanca, and Fes. Our camp is located deep in the desert, with the nearest village being M’Hamid, at the end of the Draa Valley, south of Ouarzazate.
The road-trip to the desert is spectacular and you will see the scenery change again and again until the road abruptly runs out and the sand continues.
Here you’ll find an overview of the different ways to reach our camp, helping you choose the option that best suits your travel plans.
Private Transfer
However you reach M’hamid, we can organise a private transfer in a 4WD from the town to the camp.
There are limited flights to Ouarzazate, 4.5 hours from M’hamid, and Zagora, just 1.5 hours away. We can organise onward transfers from either airport to M’hamid and then on to the camp.
We can also arrange a fully guided journey around Morocco with your stay at our camp as part of that tour.
Self-Drive
If you choose to self drive to M’hamid, we will show you where to park and then collect you in a 4WD for the “off road” journey to the camp.
If you are an experienced desert driver and have a suitable 4WD vehicle and you decide to drive directly to the camp on your own, we will arrange for you to meet a local guide in M’Hamid or Foum Zguid, who will lead the off-road route to the camp safely and efficiently.
Our experienced drivers are experts at navigating the desert terrain and know the region intimately. Friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their homeland, they make the journey an enjoyable part of the adventure, allowing you to sit back, relax, and take in the scenery along the way.
